Steuben Rural Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric cooperative. Anyone requesting electric service must complete a membership application and pay a $25.00 membership fee and security deposit, if applicable. The forms below can be completed and printed from your computer.

Existing Service Location
An existing location is any place where a meter is already present and electricity has been on before. This includes change of tenants in a dwelling unit. To connect service at an existing service location, please have the service address (property where meter is currently connected) or meter number to provide to the customer service representative. If the service has been disconnected for a year or more an inspection of your service will be required before reconnection . Download the list of approved electric inspectors by clicking here.
New Service Location
A new service location is any place where there has never been electricity. To establish service at a new location, please contact our line department at 607-776-4161 or 1-800-843-3414 or stop by one of our office locations.
